Metronome: Practice Tracker ("the app") is developed by Nojus Janavicius ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and the choices you have. The short version: in guest mode we collect nothing at all; if you choose to sign in with Google, we store your practice data in your own cloud backup and nothing else.
If you use the app without signing in, all of your data — exercises, practice sessions, and statistics — is stored only in a local database on your device. It is never transmitted to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Signing in exists for one purpose: backing up your practice data so it can follow you to a new phone. When you sign in we receive and store:
This data is used solely to provide backup and cross-device sync. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties beyond Google's cloud infrastructure (Firebase), which processes it on our behalf. Data is encrypted in transit.
The optional premium subscription is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment card details or billing address; Google only tells the app whether your subscription is active. Manage or cancel it anytime in the Google Play Store app under Subscriptions.
You can delete your account and all cloud data at any time, inside the app: open the Account tab while signed in and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your Google sign-in record and every exercise and practice session stored in the cloud. The local copy on your phone remains until you uninstall the app.
Signing out (without deleting) stops all syncing; your cloud copy is kept so you can sign back in later.
Cloud data is kept for as long as your account exists so that your backup works. It is removed immediately when you delete your account.
If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's update notes.
